HAITI:  NEVER FORGET – Interview with Kevin Pina

Check out the following interview of Kevin Pina regarding the United States/Canada role in the 2004 coup in Haiti.  Kevin is a journalist and documentary filmmaker who lived in Haiti from 1999 to 2006.  In addition to his articles about Haiti, Pina is a special correspondent for Radio Pacifica KPFA-Berkeley and reported from the ground in Haiti on both the 1991 and 2004 coups against President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.  Pina also did two documentaries about Haiti, “Harvest of Hope,” about the rise of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and his Lavalas movement.  The second documentary is “Haiti:  We Must Kill the Bandits,” about the 2004 coup and its deadly aftermath.  The interview shown below was done in Canada in 2006 and was released in the US in 2009.  Pina is one of the few people who has the breadth of knowledge and sufficient on the ground experience to provide us a thorough and amazing lesson on Haiti.
